Urolithin A

 A 2025 JAMA Network Open secondary analysis of a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial is the first direct evidence. Overweight or obese adults (no other lifestyle changes) taking 1000mg of Urolithin A daily for 16 weeks experienced a significant reduction in visceral adipose tissue compared to placebo, as measured by MRI. The reduction was clinically meaningful.

Pyrroloquinoline Quinone (PQQ)

No direct visceral fat MRI trials yet. However, human clinical data is highly suggestive. A 2023 RCT in obese adults found that 20mg of PQQ daily for 12 weeks significantly reduced liver fat content and improved serum markers of metabolic syndrome, including insulin resistance, compared to placebo. Given the tight link between liver fat and visceral fat, this is a strong proxy.

Oat Bran (Beta-Glucan)

Capsaicin ? 

Human clinical trials suggest a small but measurable benefit. In one study, overweight adults consuming 4 mg of capsaicin per day for four weeks experienced a significant reduction in their visceral fat area

Black seed oil

Modest Weight Loss, Not Fat Loss: Most human studies show a small effect on overall body weight, not specifically visceral fat.
