You would think that using NFLOG would no longer use ULOG - but that isn't the case and is not documented as of jessie.

Thus:

• Install ulogd2.

• You will need to change all instances of log levels (usually “info” or ULOG) in your Shorewall configuration files to “NFLOG” - this includes entries in the policy, rules and shorewall.conf files. Also in shorewall.conf
