Character Class Notes

The classes that start with a back slash - such as \w lose their meaning in inside []

Thus [\w] is not the same as \w. [\w] is not [0-9a-zA-Z]

If you need to combine \w with other characters (lets say a <) you need to use [0-9a-zA-Z<]

[\w] should match the \ and 'w'.

This is broken in Kregexpeditor as of 3.5.5-3
